Toddler & Me

The toddler years are beautiful, chaotic, and nobody warns you enough. Toddler & Me is a warm WhatsApp community for East African moms — at home and in the diaspora — to share real talk on toddler meals, hair, everyday life, and everything in between. Started by our founder, who’s living it too. Come as you are. 💛

A cozy corner of the internet for moms in the thick of the toddler years.

You’re not imagining it,  toddlers are a whole different experience.

One minute they’re the sweetest thing you’ve ever seen. The next, they’re on the floor crying because their banana broke. And somewhere in between, you’re supposed to figure out what to feed them, how to tame that hair, and still show up as a functioning human being. It’s a lot.

Toddler & Me was born out of that exact reality. Our founder, Resty — who also happens to be building SHE Centre while raising a toddler — found herself navigating the everyday chaos and realising she needed a space. Not a perfectly curated parenting blog. Not advice from someone who forgot what the toddler years actually feel like. Just real moms, sharing real life.

So she opened her WhatsApp, invited her friends, and said, "come, let’s figure this out together."

Whether you’re in Kampala or Canada, Nairobi or the Netherlands, if you’re an East African mom raising little ones at home or in the diaspora, this community is for you.

Inside Toddler & Me, we talk about everything:

∙ 🍲 What to cook when your toddler has decided they hate everything

∙ 💆🏾‍♀️ How to actually survive the emotional rollercoaster (yours and theirs)

∙ 🌀 Hairstyles that are cute, quick, and toddler-proof

∙ 🏡 Navigating life as a mom;  work, rest, identity, and everything in between

∙ 💬 The things we don’t always say out loud but all feel

No judgment. No perfection. Just moms holding each other up through the beautiful, exhausting, hilarious little years.

👉🏿 Join the community, your people are already in there waiting.
